Meet Zubair! He was surrendered to the shelter on 12/10 and has been a very resilient sweetheart. His owner noted him to be super friendly and fully house broken. Since arriving to the shelter, Zubair has shown us that just because he's a senior does not mean he's ready to slow down and stop having fun! He's still got plenty of energy and loves getting out for walks with staff and volunteers.
Behavior Notes:
per volunteer 12/22: I took zubair out yesterday for a walk. What a sweet boy, he does not jump at all! Walks so nice on leash. I found it best to open palm treats or he did awesome with catching . He loved pets and back scratches.
Zubair's walksheet as of 12/13:
12/12- No issues reported except for slight issues with jumpiness. Medium energy. Handlers commented: "Interested in other dogs. Housetrained."
12/13 - No issues reported except for slight issues on leash.
Volunteer's notes to staff 12/13: Overall said Zubair was a wild old man with lots of energy and is a bull in a china shop. he was sweet with her but can be a lot of energy

The Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia (ACCT Philly) is the region’s largest animal care and control service provider. ACCT Philly is an independent, 501c3 nonprofit organization, contracted by the City of Philadelphia to provide animal control services. Our animal control officers provide service over 142.6 square miles to the city’s more than 1.5 million residents and ACCT Philly’s facility in North Philadelphia handles more than 17,000 of the city’s animals, from dogs and cats, to small animals, reptiles, birds and wildlife, annually.
