Hello there! My name is Coco and I'm a pretty black and white kitty. I'm cautious meeting new people, but I warm up quickly. Then you'll see what a sweet, gentle and social girl I am. I like having visitors and getting to know you sounds awesome! I like pets and head rubs. I enjoy hanging out with my kitty bestie Diamond. We have a good time batting our fuzzy mice and balls around. We also like to just chill, cuddle and relax together. Diamond and I are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together - she's my best friend. We are looking for a caring person to share their life with us. We're good company and a pleasure to be around. Are you ready to bring home two amazing kitties who get along purrfectly? I thought so! You should come by the shelter to meet us. I just know you're going to love us!

Operating the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter, an open-admission facility and Alexandria’s only animal shelter, the League provides care for more than 3,500 animals every year, including strays, lost pets, local wildlife, rescue animals, and pets surrendered by their owners. Serving the community since 1946, the League has contracted with the City of Alexandria to provide animal care, control, and sheltering services since 1989. The AWLA is committed to ending animal homelessness, promoting animal welfare, and serving as an educational resource for the community.
