My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dr.Pepper is a 3 year old domestic shorthaired brown tabby. He is currently in foster care.

Meet Dr. Pepper, a charming young cat whose bright personality stands out right away. He’s warm, affectionate, and loves greeting his people with enthusiastic little nudges. Naturally curious, Dr. Pepper enjoys checking out anything new, whether it’s a toy, a room, or an unexpected sound in the environment.

He has tons of energy and will flourish in a home that can offer him plenty of stimulation, playtime, and activities. Treats are a major highlight of his day, he’s a big fan of snacks and happily enjoys just about any food he can get his paws on.

Dr. Pepper is a spirited, fun-loving boy who throws himself into play with incredible enthusiasm. Whether he’s sprinting after toys, leaping at moving shapes, or zooming around at full speed, he brings a burst of excitement to everything he does. With so much drive, he can occasionally become overstimulated, so he’ll do best with adopters who can tune in to his signals and give him a moment to settle when he’s had enough.

He would do best in an adult-only household. He may be easily overstimulated by the energy and noise of children, so we recommend a home with adults or older teenagers who can provide a peaceful and predictable environment.

He’s searching for a home that can match his lively pace, ideally with a high-energy family or an equally active cat or dog buddy. Any companion animals should be comfortable with his exuberant personality and be up for lots of interactive play. Dr. Pepper sometimes needs gentle redirection to his toys when he’s getting a bit too riled up, and he’s still learning to feel at ease when his food is being set down.
With the right environment, Dr. Pepper will blossom into a joyful, affectionate companion who brings endless fun and personality to his new home.

He is neutered, fully vaccinated with RCCP and rabies, FIV and FeLV negative, microchipped, and on parasite prevention. His adoption fee is $300. To adopt, please submit an adoption application found in the drop down menu on our website.

Additional adoption info

Most of our cats live in foster homes. Some are available to meet at satellite locations such as Pet Valu and Ren's Depot. A few foster homes are available to meet and greets at their home, or we also do meet and greets at request at our shelter prior to adoption. Most of these results in same day adoptions, and only take place after an adoption interview.
