Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Brutus – a gentle giant with a heart as big as his paws! Brutus came to us from a high-intake shelter that we partner with. When he first arrived at their shelter he was in rough shape – skinny, with patchy hair loss, and in need of some serious TLC. Thanks to their dedicated care, he’s now healthy, happy, and sporting the softest, fluffiest fur you can imagine.
They wanted to give him the best chance at a forever home and HSGD was able to take him in! Despite his extra-large size, Brutus is the ultimate cuddle buddy and loves leaning into anyone who will give him pets and attention. He’s always excited to see people and share his big, loving personality. Brutus is ready to find his forever home where he can spend his days being spoiled and adored. Stop in to meet him or apply online today!

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
