My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Happy, and I’m a 6-year-old English Bulldog with the biggest smile you’ve ever seen. I got my name for a reason.. I truly love everyone I meet, and I’m always ready to share wiggles, snorts, and good vibes with anyone who gives me a little attention. I don’t need a ton of exercise, but I do love slow strolls, soft beds, and being close to my people.

I should probably tell you one important thing about me: I get a little worried when I’m left alone. I just love my humans so much that I feel safest when they’re nearby. With patience, reassurance, and a predictable routine, I know I can get more comfortable, but it helps a lot if someone is home more often than not. In return, I promise endless affection, loyal companionship, and a heart full of sweetness.

I’m looking for a family who wants a friendly, gentle buddy to make their home a little cozier and a lot happier. If you’re searching for a snuggly, easygoing companion with a whole lot of love to give, I think we could be perfect for each other. I can’t wait to find the humans who will become my forever people. More about this shelter

The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
