My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Updated 10Dec25

🧡 Meet Henry — The Little Beagle Who Deserved So Much Better

18 lbs • Estimated 2 Years Old • Heartworm Positive (Treatment Started) • Snuggler Extraordinaire

Henry’s story begins with something no dog should ever endure. This tiny 18-lb beagle boy was pushed out of a stopped car, and the people inside drove away. Despite being underweight (he should be closer to 25 lbs) and having every reason to shut down, Henry remains gentle, trusting, and full of quiet sweetness.

He’s also irresistibly cute — from his speckled little legs to the way his nose is always going, following every scent like a true beagle detective.

❤️ Personality

Henry is classic beagle in the best possible way.
He’s got that iconic beagle bark, but otherwise he is mellow, polite, and easy to be around.

He is:

Nonchalant and respectful around other dogs

Completely unfazed by birds — which makes us optimistic he may do well with cats

Observant and sweet-natured

A top-tier snuggler who loves to curl right into you

A little scent machine — nose always twitching, always sniffing, always investigating

🩺 Medical

Henry is heartworm positive, but he has already begun treatment and is doing well. With rest and continued care, he’s expected to make a full recovery.

🏡 Looking for a Foster or Adopter

Henry needs a soft, safe place to land — someone willing to help him heal, gain weight, and finally experience the love he has always deserved.

If you have space in your home and heart, Henry is ready to fill both.
