My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Imagine walking into your home after a long day of work, and Miss Ally with her adorable big green eyes is right by the door to greet you! She can’t wait for you to come in so she can melt away the burdens of your day with her creaky purr. With her very professional biscuit making from her soft paws, she’ll massage away any tension. If you need a laugh, this playful girl is bright as sunshine, pouncing at mice toys or leaping goofily at string toys! She will come pat your hand to remind you there is much joy in the world, and to come live it to the fullest (by giving her soft head the pets it deserves).

Miss Ally is truly a little hero. She was born in a backyard of someone who felt shooting an animal was more convenient than taking them to the vet. Neighbors intervened so she could find shelter with her kittens, and she persevered with joy in every temporary foster home she was in, making everyone fall in love along the way. She was such an incredible momma that when a three day old kitten needed care, she immediately accepted her into her family! She saved five near-death orphaned or abandoned nursing kittens this way, and we are eternally grateful to this little hero.

Now it is Miss Ally’s turn to be her kitten self, and we can’t wait for her to find a home of her own! Miss Ally would do best in a gentle home, with older children. She has enjoyed other kitty company, but could also be happy as the sole queen of the household. The way to this gentle girl’s heart is with love and patience, and while she will be polite to everyone no matter how loud, a home she will feel truly comfortable in will be on the tranquil and affectionate side, with play sessions fit in between naps. Does Miss Ally sound like the perfect fit for you?

All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, FVRCP vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped.

All of our kittens must go to homes where they will remain inside 24/7.

We'd love to schedule a meet & greet with you and the kittens! If you're interested in adopting, please visit our website and fill out an application: https://toniskittyrescue.org/adoption-application

More about this rescue

Toni, our founder, started fostering underage kittens that came into the local municipal shelter in 2000. By 2003 she had a network of foster parents and was saving many little lives so she became a non-profit. As of 2023 we are no longer with the shelter and are on our own. We have only one part-time employee and a dedicated group of fosters. All our kittens are vaccinated and spayed/neutered and receive all necessary medical care while in our care. We taken in strays from our partner trappers and from high-kill and over-crowded shelters, specializing in neo-nates and kittens under 6 weeks.
