My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chief is ready for his forever family! This handsome black and tan is a typical puppy, always on the go and looking for mischief. Hes a high energy, rough and tumble player, can be a little obnoxious initially with other dogs but settles down nicely after a couple of days. Hes house trained and crate trained although its not his favorite place to be too much world to explore. Hes a good leash walker and getting better riding in the car but is still nervous. Hes a smart, food motivated boy. Chief would do best with a playful female companion and someone home more often than not. Chief still needs to gain weight and is expected to be around 75lbs as a healthy adult. Chief will need a fenced yard to allow him to run off his energy in a safe environment. Chief tested well with cats at the shelter but we have no knowledge of whether hes lived with them previously. Hes still jumpy when excited and would not do well with small children. More about this rescue

Thank you for considering adopting a GSRA dog. We love that you are exploring rescuing a GSD. We firmly believe that the adoption of a dog is not one to be taken lightly. Because of this belief, our adoption process is what some would described as lengthy and can be emotional. If you are looking to take a dog home "tomorrow", unfortunately our organization is not for you.
