My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blakey Baby is a hilarious mix of silly energy and serious snuggle skills that'll keep you smiling all day long. If you were to ask us to try to describe Blakey Baby in as short of a sentence as possible (which is not an easy task because there is so much to say) that would be what everyone would say about him It's the best way to describe Blakey Baby. Oh, and those ice blue eyes? They'll melt your heart every single time while also making you feel a burst of happiness all at the same time. They are basically little beams of sunshine that reach straight into your soul. It's the Blakey Baby effect. You can't prevent it from happening. You can't stop it. It just happens and it's the absolute best. Blakey Baby will zoom around like he owns the place one minute, then flop into your lap for belly rubs the next. Honestly, it's impossible not to fall for his goofy, sweet, personality.

Watch his video and fall head over heels for this goofy lover boy: https://youtu.be/VJp3_0aK4c4

Blakey Baby is a husky mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 33 lbs. Don't let his pictures fool you though...y'all he's little and is more fluff than weight LOL. Not to throw myself under the bus but I can even pick him up from sit down position and I am not that strong. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. One thing is certain, you will never know a day without some form of laughter with Blakey Baby in your life. He's a natural at making you smile!

Blakey Baby is dog friendly and has done great with all the dogs we have introduced him too. Like any ol' husky typical fashion, he is a vocal fella and plays exactly like a husky. If you know, you know. He loves to romp around, play chase, engage in those rumble and tumble moments, and is all about having a great time. He'll also make sure that everyone knows he's having a good time because he'll start talking and get ya with those woowoo's like he's singing to an audience. It's quite hilarious. As mentioned earlier, he plays just like a husky and shows all the typical husky like tendencies as well. He will give a verbal correction if play gets a little too rough or if the energy gets a little too high for his liking. Overall, he is a vocal guy and will do best in a home with another dog that will be comfortable with a vocal dog like him. He would also do great as an only dog as well. He doesn't need another dog to help him feel comfortable and open up, he's a natural lover boy all on his own.

When it comes to training, Blakey Baby is thrives with consistency, patience, a good sense of humor (because he's going to make you laugh), and of course the holy grail - treats! He is not picky about his treats either LOL this boy loves them all and has a wonderful working nose that can smell a piece of cheese on the counter top. So if left unattended long enough, he will attempt to get it LOl. I mean, who can resist yummy human snacks left behind anyways. Blakey already knows how to sit, walks with no hesitation into his crate, and he is potty trained. When out on a walk, he 90% of the time walks very easy to walk on a leash and walks right next to you. The other 10% is when he pulls out of excitement to go smell something or sees a friendly face. It's fairly easy to redirect his attention and to keep walking but does require a correction every now and then. But overall, he is a great walking companion and will be the best adventure partner!

Blakey Baby would thrive in semi-active home environment that enjoys frequent outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, going to the beach or even casual play time in the yard. A family or individual who appreciates nature and is ready to explore parks, trails, or snowy landscapes would be perfect. While he loves the great outdoors and loves to explore, he is also a cuddly guy at home and loves to pretend he's a lap dog. If you enjoy the outdoors but also cherish time spent relaxing at home, Blakey is the perfect fit. He is the best of both worlds. He would also do best in a home with a backyard as well rather than an apartment. A place where he can stretch her legs, check out all of her favorite sniff spots, roll around in the grass and sunbathe during those beautiful summer days. He also loves to tell you about his day, with howls and woo-woos. Very typical husky fashion. Which is another reason why he would do best in a home with a yard rather than an apartment.

Blakey has also been around kids as young as 4 years old and immediately went straight up to her, giving her kisses and was just as happy as can be. She also has a bag of chips that she was munching on, and of course ___ wanted some too but he was was good about listening her when she was telling him no. Blakey would make a great dog for a family with kids with learning proper boundaries.

Blakey did really well meeting the kitty — he was curious, gentle, and very sweet! That said, Blakey’s got a lot of playful energy, and sometimes that excitement can turn into wanting to chase his feline friends. Because of that, we think he’d do best in a home where any resident cats have safe spaces to escape to when they need a break. If you’ve got a kitty and think Blakey might be your perfect match, we’d love for him to also have a playful doggy buddy to help burn off that extra energy — that way, everyone can stay happy and relaxed!

We are willing to test Blakey Baby with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
