My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please read before applying- This adoption is for a bonded pair of German Shepherd Royalty, Esta and Troy. Think of them as The Queen & Her Gentle King. Together they bring extraordinary temperaments, an inseparable bond, are calm, intelligent, and deeply loving.

Experienced, spacious-home applicants only!
Take a look at them here then come back to read more about them.

Some dogs arrive as individuals. Esta & Troy arrive as a story. They are not just bonded. They are each other’s world and together, an incredible a gift.

I will introduce you to them individually first.

Esta is a mahogany-sable shepherd with soft eyes, the cutest little ears, and a calm, thoughtful nature. She warms up slowly but beautifully, and once she trusts you, she is affectionate, expressive, and always so happy to see her people.Because she is fostered in a dedicated home we have a front row seat to who she is at home. Her foster describes her personality at home as-
Calm, respectful, very polite
Follows her person from room to room
Loves gentle pets and “conversations”
Prefers to relax next to you rather than on top of you
Enjoys soft couches, quiet moments, and peaceful company
Roams the house freely and gracefully
Checks in with her humans often, loves routines
Settles beautifully and appreciates predictable environments
She is also praised for her excellent house manners, her amazing leash skills, and her polite approach to new dogs.

Now for Troy, he is a unit-massive and magnificent, sensitive, gentle-hearted, and devoted beyond measure.

Troy is an enormous, breathtaking German Shepherd - a true gentle giant. Beneath his size is a sensitive, emotional dog who forms deep attachments and reads people with astonishing clarity. Troy can be a bit unsure about new experiences but a gentle approach and some sweet talk are all he needs to move through it. His foster shared that with Esta by his side he unfolds into the most loving, devoted boy.Troys foster shared that at home he is, calm, affectionate, incredibly sensitive, LOVES belly rubs, brushing, and any gentle touch. There is no doubt that his love language is physical touch- he lives for affection. He is a sweetheart and wants to be right beside his people. And with Esta he is adoring and always a gentleman.

Troy and Esta will need the following-
These dogs are extraordinary -and they require an extraordinary home.
Absolutely Required:
✔ Adopted together
✔ No other dogs or cats
✔ Experienced home - GSD, working breeds, or XL dogs
✔ Spacious property, country living, or rural environment
✔ Secure fencing above 6 feet
✔ Adults or confident teens only (kids 10+ and experienced)
✔ Someone home often - flexible schedule, remote worker, semi-retired
✔ Calm, quiet household
✔ An active life that includes nature, hiking, walking, exploring
✔ Cooler environments preferred (Troy does not care for the TX heat)

Despite how stunning please be aware that Troy and Esta are not appropriate for:
⛔ First-time dog owners
⛔ Small yards / city lots
⛔ Busy neighborhoods
⛔ Condos / apartments
⛔ Homes with small children
⛔ Anyone wanting just “a shepherd experience”
⛔ Busy, away-from-home-all-day schedules

If you are wondering what makes their connection so special- What is a bonded pair? Basically it is two dogs with a profound connection that makes them the best version of themselves when they are together.
They kiss, nuzzle, and check on each other constantly
They move as a synchronized pair
They follow each other everywhere - indoors and outdoors
They play, run, and explore together
They share space harmoniously, eat together, sleep together
When one is uncomfortable, the other provides comfort
Troy treats Esta like a queen; Esta sees Troy as her rock
Separation causes stress; being together brings peace
You adopt them together, and you gain a ready-made, beautifully balanced partnership. Together they enjoy hiking, exploring nature, country drives, and relaxing after a peaceful day of adventure. We would not describe them as high energy but they do thrive with shared adventures and settle deeply afterward.

They are a ready-made partnership for the right family -a pair that brings loyalty, gentleness,, devotion, and a connection that cant be recreated. They’re not just pets. They are a presence. Two gorgeous German Shepherds with impeccable manners, stable temperaments, and a connection so pure and intuitive it feels almost magical. They move together, think together, comfort one another, and share a level of devotion you simply don’t see every day.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
