My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Ryder — Adventure Champion, Splash Specialist, Trail Explorer, and Professional “Let’s Go!” Dog! 🐾

If you’ve been dreaming of a dog who wakes up every morning like, “OKAY BESTIE, WHAT ARE WE DOING TODAY??” — congratulations, you’ve found him. This is Ryder, a one-year-old rescue mix(maybe Shepherd/Lab? maybe part mermaid? no promises!) whose entire personality can be summed up as: adventure, vibes, and good times.

Go watch Ryder in action in his video!

https://youtu.be/0KexZZuFqdA?si=KmakZ-fdZ6hrm9em

Ryder is a full-on outdoors enthusiast. This boy LOVES the water — pool water, river water, puddles, vibes, you name it. Not only does he swim, he lounges on pool floaties like he's on vacation in the Bahamas. He even shares his floatie with his foster mom because he is a gentleman.

Camping? He’s already packed.
Hiking? He’s leading the way.
Exploring a new trail? He’s your guide.
Sitting in a camping chair like a little king? Absolutely.

He’s basically a nature influencer!

And after all those big adventures? Ryder becomes a world-class napper. This boy doesn’t just sleep — he commits to it. He crashes in the funniest, most dramatic positions you’ve ever seen. Sometimes he’s sprawled out like a starfish with his arms stretched to the heavens. Sometimes he curls up like a cinnamon roll. Sometimes he flips onto his back with his legs in the air like he’s auditioning for “Most Relaxed Dog in America.” And sometimes he snoozes snuggled up with his doggy friends like a big happy adventure pancake. When Ryder naps… he NAPS. It’s adorable.

Ryder also has his very own dog squad — about six dogs in his foster home — and he is the happy explorer of the group. They all pile into the back of an ATV for wilderness adventures, and Ryder is like, “YES. THIS. EXACTLY THIS.” He enjoys hanging with other dogs, sniffing around with them, and being part of the fun.

With his people, he is soft, sweet, and melts for gentle pets. He warms up quickly and gives those “I trust you” eyes that hit you right in the heart. He’s affectionate in that quiet, loyal, steady way that makes you feel like you’ve got your very own furry sidekick.

He’d thrive with an active family that loves walks, adventures, and getting outside. He would love a backyard to gallop around in, but can totally live in an apartment too — as long as someone is ready to do fun things because Ryder is a man with PLANS.

He’d have a blast with a confident, playful dog friend (especially a fun lady dog), but he’d also be totally content being your one-and-only adventure buddy. Just no cats… he thinks they are tiny, mysterious drama queens and he has opinions about that.

If you’re looking for:
✨ a hiking buddy
✨ a camping buddy
✨ a swimming buddy
✨ a lounging-on-the-pool-float buddy
✨ a “jump in the car, we’re going somewhere!” buddy

…then Ryder is absolutely your dog.

Grab your shoes, grab some snacks, maybe grab a towel —
Ryder’s ready for the next adventure.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
