Meet Meatball — part dog, part potato, part banana, and 100% good boy! 🍌💛
This chunky hunk of happiness is a 4-year-old American Bully/Pitty mix (we think!) with the world’s biggest smile and the goofiest heart to match. He’s the kind of dog who looks at you like you just told the funniest joke in the world, even if you just sneezed. One minute he’s posing proudly in his banana costume, the next he’s rolling over for belly rubs like the world’s happiest fruit snack.
Go watch Meatball in action in his video!

Meatball is a true gentleman when it comes to other dogs — he’s polite, calm, and totally drama-free. He’s not really the “let’s wrestle in the mud” type, but he’s perfectly happy to hang out with a mellow dog buddy who respects his personal space. Think of him as the chill friend in the group who just watches everyone else’s chaos with quiet amusement. He’d probably do best with a calm or aloof female dog who enjoys relaxed companionship instead of wild playdates. He’s got great doggy manners — he doesn’t get pushy over food or treats and prefers peace over chaos.
As for cats? Meatball says, “Nope. Hard pass.” They’re just a little too interesting for him. So, a cat-free home it is!
When it comes to people, though, this guy’s heart is wide open. He’s the type of dog who takes a minute to make sure you’re the real deal — but once he decides you’re part of his inner circle, he’s all in. Expect excited wiggles, soft eye contact, and the sweetest little smiles every time you walk in the room. He loves his humans deeply and would thrive with a family who gives him patience to settle in and lots (and lots) of love once he does.
Meatball would do best in a home with adults or older kids who can handle a big boy who sometimes forgets his size when he’s feeling goofy. He’s a gentle giant at heart, but he’s got that playful, wiggly energy that might be a bit much for tiny tots.
Meatball could totally live the apartment life if his building is cool with big handsome dudes like him — or he’d love a backyard to sunbathe in. Wherever he lands, this big banana boy will bring endless laughs, love, and goofy joy.
In short, Meatball is everything you could ever want in a best friend: loyal, hilarious, low-key, and full of love. He’s the kind of dog who’ll steal your heart and probably your blanket, too. Adopt this big banana boy and see why everyone who meets him can’t stop smiling — he’s proof that sometimes, the best things in life are big, silly, and covered in fur.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready.
