My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I was rescued from a colony in Linda Vista by a Smittens volunteer doing good works. My brothers, Ambrose and Bob, were rescued by the same nice woman. I`m still getting acclimated to indoor life but so far I`m liking it, especially the regular food and warm bed. I`m a wild cutie looking for my forever family. I come off hesitant at first, but will quickly reveal my audible purr with a few pets! Give me patience and love, I will show you my sweet snuggly side!

Young kitties are adopted out in pairs or to a home with another playful kitty.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
