Hello! I`m Mabel, and I`m a sweet girl looking for a quiet, loving home where I can settle in and play! I came to Smittens with my brother Dipper, and have made other foster friends along my journey as well.
I can be a little shy at first, and loud noises can startle me, so I`m looking for a patient family that will let me come out of my shell when I`m ready.
Once I feel comfortable, my playful side comes out! I love to explore, and my favorite thing is to climb high to find the very best viewing spot in the room! When it`s playtime, nothing beats chasing my favorite puff balls, and I also enjoy jingle balls and running through tunnels. When it`s time to rest, I always seek out the softest bed for a cozy nap.
I really do love affection, but you have to catch me first! I enjoy being held once I`m in your arms, and I`ll show you my appreciation with loud, happy purrs.
Since I`m a playful kitten who needs company, I need a buddy! I must be adopted into a home that already has a playful young cat, or I need to be adopted as a pair with an age-appropriate kitten.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
