My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Arrow!
If you’re searching for a lovable burst of energy to brighten your days, Arrow is your guy! This sweet, playful pup is full of enthusiasm for life and can turn even an ordinary afternoon into an adventure.

Arrow thrives on attention and adores being by your side—whether you’re playing in the yard, going for a walk, or just hanging out at home. He loves making new friends, soaking up affection, and showing off his happy, wagging tail. With his upbeat personality and affectionate nature, he’s the perfect companion for someone who enjoys an active, engaging, and joyful lifestyle.

Playtime is one of Arrow’s favorite things, and he never says no to a game or a fun activity. But after he’s had his fill of fun, this sweet boy is more than happy to settle in close and enjoy your company.

Arrow has a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. If you’re ready to share your world with a playful, energetic, and incredibly loving companion, Arrow can’t wait to meet you!

Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.

I hope to meet you soon!

All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.

More about this shelter

A one-of-a-kind animal welfare organization, Anderson Humane focuses on creating and supporting mutually beneficial relationships between people and animals. Current programming such as our Adoption Program, Military Veterans’ Program, and Healing Paws Pet Therapy Program create positive, impactful connections between people and animals, improving the lives of both. Future programs will be offered in partnership with human-service organizations throughout our community, maximizing impact and changing lives for the better.

Anderson Humane is a resource for pet owners, providing information and services to provide better care for their pets. Services such as our Low-Cost Vaccination, Dental, and Spay/Neuter Clinics offer affordable veterinary care options, preventing owners from having to give up their pets simply because they can’t afford care. On the horizon are additional programs to keep pets in homes, such as a pet food pantry, affordable pet training options, and temporary housing for pets when families are in crisis.
