ABOUT NYLA
Meet Nyla, a 1-year-old Lab mix with a heart full of curiosity, energy, and love! Nyla came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in the South and has quickly shown herself to be a friendly, happy-go-lucky girl who thrives on attention and activity. She’s outgoing, goofy, and loves meeting new people, she may even try to climb into your lap to greet you!
Nyla is social and has done well in a previous home with children and cats, making her a versatile companion. She’s still learning some basic manners but appears house-trained and walks well on leash with a harness. Treat motivated and eager to please, Nyla quickly picks up new tricks and loves mental challenges. This playful girl adores toys, she’ll toss them in the air for fun and will happily chew on hard bones. In her kennel, she curls up like a tiny ball with her nose tucked in, showing her softer, cozy side. Nyla would thrive in an active home that can provide training, supervision, and plenty of adventures; she would make an amazing hiking partner, playmate, and all-around bundle of joy for the right family!
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
