Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Willow’s story is one of quiet bravery. When you first meet her, she may seem shy and unsure, keeping her distance, watching with wide eyes, and taking her time to decide if she’s safe. But once you earn her trust, you’ll get to see the real Willow: a sweet, wiggly, toy-loving pup who blossoms with joy once she realizes she’s okay.
Outside the stress of the kennel, Willow completely transforms. She runs, plays, and even tosses toys in the air for herself – pure puppy happiness shining through. It’s clear she wants to connect – she just needs patient, gentle people who will give her time to feel secure and show her that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.
Willow would thrive in a calm, understanding home, ideally one without too much hustle and bustle, where she can learn that doorways lead to adventure, not fear, and that every hand reaching towards her is one that means kindness.

More about this shelter
Northeast Animal Shelter, established in 1976, is now part of the MSPCA-Angell, giving us a better opportunity to serve our community, provide additional life-saving programs and services, and protect more animals from cruelty and neglect.
Our adoption program is designed to be welcoming, nonjudgmental, and free of lengthy applications. We strive to engage all prospective adopters in a conversation aimed at matching an adopter’s lifestyle, interests and home environment with an animal’s personality, medical and behavioral needs. Adopting an animal is an extraordinary opportunity to choose your newest family member. At the MSPCA it is a great privilege for our staff and volunteers to guide that journey for adopters and animals.
