My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Come meet me this Saturday (12.13.25) at the Fort Collins PetSmart from 10am-2pm! This event is first come, first served so we recommend arriving early if you have a specific furry friend in mind! This event operates on a number system so upon arrival make sure to get your number and we will call numbers up in groups! Please note in order to receive a number you need to be an approved adopter within the last 3 months. We will have paper applications available at the event as well as our application via our website! We hope to see you there! :)*

Wilbur is a young scruffy pup looking for a family to call his own! Wilbur is a pup who is full of enthusiasm for life! He loves his people and will happily come running when called and will flop over for belly rubs. He loves his dog friends and is very respectful of cats! He is more interested in seeing if you will play with him than on investigating the cat. He absolutely loves his food and once he calms down from his excitement, his food motivation makes him an easy pup to train and work with! However his food excitement does mean he doesn't like to share his food, but he's great at sharing toys and loves to play tug and chase! He is an absolute rock star at his potty training and he's mastering the art of letting you know when he's gotta go out and go potty! He is crate trained and sleeps through the night like an absolute champion! If you need a scruffy best freind in your life, reach out to meet Wilbur today!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Adoptable animals are located at our Taft Campus at 2200 N Taft Hill Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80524 or for more info call 970-484-8516.

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.

Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.

We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.
