My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Honey!

This sweetie has had a bit of a rough start, but is ready to begin her new life with an adoring family who can give her a new light and love into her world! Honey loves her people sooo much, and would love a home who is keen on spending time with her and helping her learn all the ins and outs of life!

This pup loves to play her days away with her puppy friends, and would be so thrilled at the idea of a sibling to learn from. She slaps her goofy flappy paws about, and rolls around with her bum wiggling in the air! She eats great, and enjoys puzzle toys where she can use her brain to figure them out.

Honey can sometimes be a bit shy and unsure of new situations, so is seeking a home that can offer her lots of love and positive reinforcement as she faces life's unknowns! She is very praise and food motivated, so will thrive with some love and structure where she knows its going to be okay.

This little lady is still waiting to be spayed, and is going in on December 12th for her big day. We will be exploring applications and setting up meet and greets with adopters after this date, and are excited to meet her future family!

Please note we cannot accommodate walk in viewing for dogs in our care, and do require an application and appointment to be made with us prior to viewing. Thank you for your understanding!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

    Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

    Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

    Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

    1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

    2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

    3. Freedom from distress

    4. Freedom from discomfort

    5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
