Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾 Meet Maybelline 🐾
Maybelline is a beautiful 3-year-old Black Labrador Retriever weighing 33 pounds. The shelter environment is a little overwhelming for her right now, so she may be shy at first—but with patience, kindness, and a little extra time, her true personality will begin to shine.
Maybelline is looking for someone willing to go slow, build trust, and show her what it means to feel safe and loved. For the right person, she will be an incredibly rewarding companion.
✔️ Vaccinated
✔️ Microchipped
✔️ Spayed
Her adoption fee is $50, and she’s ready for a calm, understanding home where she can blossom.

Our adoptable dogs and cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested for heartworms, are microchipped, have a one year City of Norman pet license, and have received a medical exam.
Our animals are available at our facility on a first come first served basis. While very rare, occasional exceptions are made for livestock and animals receiving significant inquiry due to specific breed demands.
Adoption fee for all animals is $50.00.

More about this shelter
Norman Animal Welfare is a municipal shelter operated and funded by the City of Norman, Oklahoma. In addition to providing a safe environment for our adoptable animals we also are responsible for the enforcement of all animal related laws within the City of Norman and holding all stray animals that are located. In addition to these main roles, we also provide public microchipping, city pet licensing, and other educational services to our community.
We average approximately 3,400 animals in and out of our facility each year. We have an amazing facility that fully opened in 2016. We operate daily with a very limited staff supported by several amazing volunteers. We operate an active foster program and are always seeking to work with those in our community interested in assisting us in our mission.
