Meet Cheekie! This sweet 18-month-old Chiweenie weighs just approx. 15 lbs and is now officially available for adoption! Cheekie was living in a home with another dog but sadly they were not compatible long term, and the family thought it best to surrender her so she would be able to find a new family. Cheekie is now ready to find a family where she can feel safe, understood, and loved. Cheeky is a gentle girl who is shy at first but warms up quickly. she is looking for a fresh start in a stable, patient home where she can finally just be a cherished companion. Once she feels comfortable, Cheeky is incredibly loving and does well with children. She is housebroken, crate trained and used to a structured routine. With kindness, predictability, and reassurance, she will continue to blossom. Spay Appointment: Cheeky is scheduled for her spay, microchip, heartworm test and rabies vaccine on Wednesday, 12/17/25. This date is non-negotiable and required by Texas State Law (Chapter 828). IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
