Hi! I’m Squirtle — a tiny, brave girl with a big story and an even bigger heart.
I’m one of 11 puppies, and my siblings and I had a rough start. We all came to the shelter very sick, but thanks to lots of care, medicine, and love, we fought our way back. I may be small, but I’m tougher than I look — and now I’m ready to grow up healthy, happy, and adored.
Even after everything, I’m still a sweet, hopeful, and curious little pup. I love gentle cuddles, soft blankets, and exploring at my own pace. I warm up quickly to kind humans and will happily follow you around once I’ve decided you’re my person (which won’t take long).
I’m learning all the puppy basics — walking on a leash, sitting nicely, and figuring out what toys are my favorite — but I’m eager to learn and even more eager to be loved.

SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.
