Meet Jacob Marley — Marley for short!
Marley is a silly, soulful puppy with a heart full of love and an obsession with leaves. Seriously — toss him into a leaf pile and watch the magic happen. He'll bounce, pounce, and zoom with pure joy, chasing every leaf the wind sends his way. It's impossible not to smile watching him.
This sweet boy came to us under the weather, but even while recovering, his wonderful personality shone through. He's a resilient little guy who's getting stronger and happier every day.
What Marley knows: He's mastered "sit" and is making great progress on potty training. When he does his business outside, he sits down and wags his tail because he's so proud of himself — and honestly, we're proud of him too. He thrives on praise and positive reinforcement; a simple "good boy" lights up his whole world.
Living with other pets: Marley has been a dream with our resident cats — no chasing, no jumping, just calm and respectful coexistence. He's bonded beautifully with our female dog (she's his favorite playmate!) and looks up to our male dog, watching closely to learn "big dog" things. He'd do well in a home with other pets who can show him the ropes.
Still learning: Marley is working on leash skills — the big world felt a little overwhelming at first, but with patience and consistency, he's building confidence every day. He can be a bit particular about food and isn't very treat-motivated yet, so his future family should be ready to lean into verbal praise and affection (which he will return tenfold in kisses).
One quirk: Someone still needs to tell him the litter box isn't a puppy snack bar.
If you're looking for a goofy, affectionate pup who will keep you laughing and shower you with love, Marley is ready to find his forever home.
Adoption Day: December 20th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt.
