This helps Australian Shepherds Furever - Redwood Estates, CA Chapter with pet care costs.
Meet sweet Buck!
Buck is a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd who is ready to experience all the wonderful things life has to offer. He is currently being fostered in Soddy Daisy, TN.
Despite a difficult past, Buck’s spirit shines bright. He spent an unknown amount of time living on a chain before being rescued—but that life never broke him. Buck is resilient, joyful, and as happy as they come. He truly loves everyone he meets and quickly became a favorite at our vet’s office. Belly rubs and hugs are high on his list of favorite things!
Buck is always up for an adventure and gets excited when he realizes he’s going somewhere. He hops right into the back seat and rides perfectly in the car. On leash, he may pull a bit at first due to excitement, but he settles quickly. He doesn’t meet a stranger and enjoys being around people. He does well with children, though a home with kids above toddler age would be best so he doesn’t accidentally knock them over. Buck also does well with other dogs, but no cats, please—he’s a bit too interested in them.
Buck was recently neutered, and during his initial exam, our vet discovered an inguinal hernia, likely present since birth. The hernia was repaired during his surgery, and the vet expects no future issues. He may always have a small area of swelling, but it does not affect his health. Buck has received a clean bill of health!
