Meet April, a sweet, soft-eyed pup who’s ready for a fresh start this holiday season. Even with winter in the air, April’s gentle spirit brings plenty of warmth wherever she goes. She’s full of love and snuggles and is hoping to find a home that will help her feel her best, one walk, one playful moment, and one happy wiggle at a time!
If you’re looking for a new bestie to share snowy strolls, quiet evenings, and all the magic of the season, April is ready to be your walking buddy, couch co-pilot, and forever friend!
IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOME
SIZE: 60 lbs
HOME TYPE: Any.
CHILDREN: Yes- Older children that have lived or currently live with a large dog potentially compatible.
CATS & SMALL ANIMALS: Yes- Cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.
OTHER DOGS: Yes- Dogs potentially compatible.
ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL: High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.
HUMAN COMPATIBILTY: First time dog owner compatible.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS: At least two in-person training sessions to work on socialization, basic training, touch desensitization and manners.
HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER: Very human social. She is so friendly and affectionate once comfortable!
FAVOURITE THINGS: She enjoys treats and scratches!
