My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Briiing, briiiing! What`s that? It`s the Banana phone!

Meet Banana, a 9-year-old Dachshund mix, recently brought to us from Fresno Animal Center. A senior with a puppy dog heart, Banana knows who she is. She`s a sweetheart, always smiling, and always happy to go on a slow walk with you where she can sniff to her heart`s desire.

Banana wants a companion who will help her live out her golden years in peace and happiness. She wants to lay in a sunbeam or take a nice trip to the beach where she can sniff so many new smells. She`s happy to accompany you anywhere and share a snack! Cafes? Yes, please! Meet Banana today and see just how sweet a senior lady can be!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
