My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Courtesy post: Luna is a gentle, quiet 3-year-old, 24-lb little girl who just wants a calm, loving home. Unfortunately my resident dog is too high energy and rough for her. She is healthy, fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Luna is the perfect velcro dog, very affectionate, eager to stay close, and happiest when she’s relaxing beside her person. She has a calm, easygoing energy and is well-mannered in the home. She is also mostly house-trained and does very well on a consistent schedule. Outside, Luna is curious and enjoys sniffing and exploring. She isn’t bothered by city noises at all; buses, traffic, sirens, and construction don’t faze her. She is polite and gentle with other dogs and would do well either as an only dog or with a calm companion who won’t overwhelm her. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to feel safe and loved, Luna may be the perfect match. More about this rescue

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Please help us help the animals!
