Tank is a spirited, lovable guy with a heart full of affection. He’s sweet, people-pleasing, and full of personality, though he can be a little stubborn at times. Tank is looking for a structured home with a confident owner who can provide consistent guidance, proper introductions to other dogs and cats, and the strong leadership he thrives under.

Tank has received excellent training at Goodboyz in Burlington, and they’re even offering a few free sessions to help his future family feel confident and prepared. With the right home and support, Tank is ready to shine as the loyal, loving companion he was meant to be.

Our dog adoption fee is $150 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations, preventatives, and heartworm testing. You can fill out our questionnaire at agcshelter.org/adopt-1 or stop by and meet our adoptable dogs Tuesday-Saturday from 1pm-4pm!

Submit Application

We have a short questionnaire that can be filled out before or during the meet and greet. We do not use the questionnaire to "approve".

Interview

We utilize conversational adoption. This may happen during the meet and greet or via phone before a meet and greet.

Our cat adoption fee is $110, $150 if you adopt a pair, and our dog adoption fee is $150.

You can bring your own carrier or we can provide a cardboard carrier for an additional $5.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is meant to reduce barriers to adoption. We have a simple questionnaire that does not determine if the adopter is "approved" or "denied" and then we have a conversation about their lifestyle, home environment, and what they are looking for in a pet.

Go meet their pets

Come meet our cats and dogs Tuesday through Friday from 1pm to 4pm in our open-concept adoption space! Here, you can sit and spend time with our kitties in a relaxed environment to get to know each personality. We have a meet and greet room for our doggies, so you can spend time with them in a larger space or walk with them outside!
