My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wally!

Wally is a very sweet and adorable small/medium sized, round, 3 year old Brittany Spaniel/Terrier mix who is looking for a loving home. He has had quite a challenging life and hasn`t ever truly got to experience a family of his own. Because of this, he can be somewhat shy and needs slow introductions when meeting new people, but once he gets to know you and warms up, he will be your best friend for life! He loves playing with toys, going on walks, car rides and swimming! Most of all, he loves belly rubs!

Wally would ultimately do best in a home with no other pets, although, he could potentially live in a home with a smaller dog. Wally just needs someone with patience, someone to not give up on him. Every living thing truly deserves to feel love and have a family, please give Wally this chance. All Wally wants for Christmas is a family.

Wally`s adoption fee is $150 and includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination certificate, neuter, heartworm tested and preventative, and a microchip. Please stop in to meet Wally! Our hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 1pm-4pm. You can start the adoption process by filling out our questionnaire at agcshelter.org/adopt-1.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

We have a short questionnaire that can be filled out before or during the meet and greet. We do not use the questionnaire to "approve".

2.

Interview

We utilize conversational adoption. This may happen during the meet and greet or via phone before a meet and greet.

3.

Meet the Pet

4.

Pay Fee

Our cat adoption fee is $110, $150 if you adopt a pair, and our dog adoption fee is $150.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

6.

Take the Pet Home

You can bring your own carrier or we can provide a cardboard carrier for an additional $5.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is meant to reduce barriers to adoption. We have a simple questionnaire that does not determine if the adopter is "approved" or "denied" and then we have a conversation about their lifestyle, home environment, and what they are looking for in a pet.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Come meet our cats and dogs Tuesday through Friday from 1pm to 4pm in our open-concept adoption space! Here, you can sit and spend time with our kitties in a relaxed environment to get to know each personality. We have a meet and greet room for our doggies, so you can spend time with them in a larger space or walk with them outside!
