Who's ready to play? Me!! Hi there! My name is Silas and I'm a darling little black kitten who is way too cute. I'm also a sweet and social boy who is loving kitten life. I enjoy having visitors - they play with me and tell me how cute I am. I like pets and head rubs. I'm playful and love my toys. I like to bat my fuzzy mice and balls around with my kitten brother Simon! We're goofy boys who know how to have fun! I am looking for a caring person to share their life with me. I'd really like a home with another kitten or young cat to play with (what about Simon?). Are you ready to bring home your own cutie patootie? Goodie! You should come by the shelter to meet me. The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria is an independent, local, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and recognized by Charity Navigator as a Four Star Charity. Operating the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter, an open-admission facility and Alexandria’s only animal shelter, the League provides care for more than 3,500 animals every year, including strays, lost pets, local wildlife, rescue animals, and pets surrendered by their owners. Serving the community since 1946, the League has contracted with the City of Alexandria to provide animal care, control, and sheltering services since 1989. The AWLA is committed to ending animal homelessness, promoting animal welfare, and serving as an educational resource for the community.
