Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Say Hello to Timon!
Timon is a one year old, 60lb staffy mix looking for a forever family to romp, play, and snuggle all day with! Timon is a friendly and active young pup who needs a person or a family who can help him grow into a happy, healthy adult dog. He loves as hard as he plays and wants a forever family who can give him as much of both as he can get.
Timon shows potential to live with another pup in his forever home so long as he is given a slow, thoughtful introduction. He would do best in a home with kiddos that are 10 or older. We do not know if he has lived with cats previously.
Looking for a sweet and active boy to add to your household? Stop by the Humane Society of Summit County today and meet Timon, or call (330) 487-0333 ext. 803 for more information!

All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.
We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at (234) 212-9843 or email at adoptions@summithumane.org, and an adoption counselor will return your message. They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. If we have a match for you and your family, an appointment will be scheduled to meet the animal.
Additional questions can be directed to our adoption team at (234) 212-9843.

More about this shelter
Since 1968, the Humane Society of Summit County (HSSC) has been the trusted caretaker and advocate for Summit County’s victims of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment and stray animals suffering from illness and injury. We employ two full-time Humane Officers who respond to emergency calls, investigate animal cruelty, and, as warranted, prosecute offenders. We protect and care for our community’s abused, discarded, and forgotten animals. We strive every day to rehabilitate our rescued animals, find them great homes, and provide them with bright futures.
