Meet the Pet
This helps The Rescue Crew with pet care costs.
Visit Rapala at our cat adoption center - The PURRfect Match, in Andover (14033 Round Lake Blvd NW). Public visiting hours are Tues/Thurs. 3-7pm and Sat 10am-2pm.
Hi there, I’m Rapala — named after the famous fishing lure, because that’s exactly where I was found… at the Como Lake Fishing Pier! A kind Parks worker reeled me in (pun intended) and brought me to St. Paul Animal Control, where I got some much-needed care before making my way to The Rescue Crew.
Now I’m living at The PURRfect Match adoption center in Andover, and let’s just say I’m still finding my footing. I’m a handsome brown tabby boy with a curious heart and a gentle spirit. I like to lurk around quietly, especially when there’s food out — but my favorite moments are when I get one-on-one time with the humans who care for me.
When it’s just me and my person, I melt right in. I’ll happily curl up in your lap for some love, or walk back and forth across your laptop until you finally give me the attention I’m clearly asking for. (I call it tactical affection — it works every time.)
With so many cats around, I can still feel a little anxious, so what I really need is a calm, patient home where I can relax, be myself, and get all the cuddles I’ve been hinting at.
If you’re looking for a loyal little fishing buddy who’ll happily trade belly rubs for purrs, cast your line my way — I just might be your catch of the day.
Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well.
