Meet Brooke, a beautiful 3-year-old girl weighing 45 pounds, who is ready to find the patient and loving home she deserves. Brooke is a total dog's dog! She is incredibly playful with pups of all sizes, and her fun-loving energy shines when she's romping around.
Brooke is a sensitive soul who was starting to shut down as the longest resident dog at the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter. She recently has shown some stranger danger, and is very cautious and unsure of new people.
Once you've earned her trust, get ready for a lifetime of love! Brooke won't leave your side, showering you with cuddles and sweet kisses. She is a loyal companion in the making.
She enjoys her down time, whether it's peacefully chewing on her favorite stuffies and bones, relaxing on her bed in her crate, or settling in right next to you on the couch. You must be willing to respect her space and let her open up on her own time. She needs a gentle approach, especially with physical affection; she currently does not like her head pet or being reached around to be petted until she trusts you.
A quiet household with another dog to help her settle and build her confidence would be her ideal home!

The foster parent will view all applications submitted. They will select the applicants that seem to be the best fit and call references.
Meet the Pet
Our primary concern is that the dogs in our care go to the home that is best suited for them. We do not operate as “first come first served"
Home Check
For every dog/puppy, we require a meet and greet in your home, with all members of the family, including cats and dogs, present.

Pay Fee
The adoption fee for dogs under 1 year old is $400, dogs ages 1-7 years old is $350, for our sweet seniors, ages 8 years old and up $150
Take the Pet Home
In order to adopt, you must have an appropriately sized collar (or harness, if required), leash and a dog tag with your telephone number.
