Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🚨 URGENT: Foster or Adopter Needed for October 🚨
October is a 10-year-old German Shepherd whose heart is breaking here at the shelter. The noise, the chaos, the waiting—it’s all just too much for her. She is extremely anxious, and we’re watching it get worse. She paces in her kennel, she spins, and she can’t settle. 💔
What makes this even harder is how incredibly sweet October is. She absolutely loves going for car rides—being in a vehicle is where she feels safe. She was adopted briefly, but after five days she was returned because she was constantly looking for the car, trying to find that calm again.
October needs a quiet home. • No other animals • Children 10+ only, and dog-savvy • A calm, understanding environment where she can finally exhale • Lots of patience and someone who will give her time, remembering the 3-3-3 rule: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to settle in, and 3 months to build trust and find security and a bond with their new foster/owner.
She’s a senior girl who doesn’t deserve to spend her days overwhelmed and scared. What she needs most right now is someone willing to open their home and their heart, whether as a foster or forever family.
Please—if you can help October, or know someone who can, reach out and share this post. Time truly matters for her. Let’s get her out of the shelter and into the peace she’s been searching for. 🐾❤️
