My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Captain: Captain is a 2-year-old mixed breed who was rescued from Hendry County in 2025 and is ready to find his forever home. He’s a high-energy, playful boy who loves to run, explore, and engage in interactive play with his favorite toys. Captain also has a soft side—when he’s relaxed, he absolutely loves to cuddle and snuggle with his people. Captain would thrive with someone who has previous experience with dogs. His energy and curiosity mean he benefits from an owner who understands canine behavior and can provide consistent guidance, structure, and positive reinforcement. With the right leadership, he is eager to learn and can continue developing his confidence and manners. He is good with other dogs, enjoys social play, and has a sweet, affectionate personality that shines once he feels safe and comfortable. Captain loves being mentally and physically stimulated—games, walks, and enrichment activities are all things that make him happiest. Captain would do well in an active home that can keep up with his energy while providing plenty of love, attention, and companionship. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion who will bring joy, laughter, and love to every day, Captain is ready to meet you!
