He’s at that perfect age—past the puppy phase but still full of life, curiosity, and plenty of good years ahead. Frank knows how to enjoy the simple things and takes the world at his own happy pace. Frank is eager to see (and sniff!) what’s going on around him. His nose is almost always to the ground, carefully investigating every scent like a true professional explorer. Full-body scratches are his absolute favorite, and he’s more than happy to soak up all the love you’re willing to give. All shelter locations are conducting animal viewing and adoptions on a first come, first serve basis. We are not able to move a pet from one location to another for your viewing.
The adoption fee is waived for all available pets in care and in foster homes. Standard adoption practices will still be in place, including background checks.

The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department (AWD) expanded the shelter days of service to seven days a week with operational hours of 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and pet viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m for both the east and west side shelter locations.
