My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET SHORTY! Shorty is 1-year-old shepherd-mix pup in need of a foster or forever home. His mom was left abandoned at an old Air Force base, and soon thereafter gave birth to four beautiful pups. Shorty and his brother Rusty still are waiting for someone to choose them! Shorty wasn't socialized well as a young pup so is very scared in new situations, but he will come around with the right, patient person. He deserves the very best home. If you can foster or adopt Shorty, please email for an application. He weighs about 50 lbs. He is currently in California, but can be transported to Oregon.

Additional adoption info

We work hard to match animals with people, and have a high success rate doing so. We want our dogs, cats and adopters to be happy!

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization based in Southern California, but we adopt dogs to people in states across the country. In 2024, we adopted almost 200 animals to people in California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Texas and New York. Most of the animals we save come from high-kill shelters in California, but we also take in owner surrenders.
