My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HI - I'M SHEENA, a petite 5-year-old shepherd-mix girl in need of a foster or forever home. I weigh only about 30 lbs! I was rescued from a scary California shelter awhile back, and that was my lucky day as I was scared there. I am a shy but sweet girl. Once I trust you, I will be your golden girl. I love, love, love human attention and affection, and giving hugs. (We have videos!) Change is a bit hard for me, so I need someone patient and understanding in the beginning. I would do best in a quiet home with an adult or adults who will love me and give me time to feel secure and bond. I get along fine with some dogs but would thrive as the only dog in the home, where I can get all the focus and attention. I am very deserving of a home and am a sweet, affectionate girl. Please email for an application.

Additional adoption info

We work hard to match animals with people, and have a high success rate doing so. We want our dogs, cats and adopters to be happy!

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization based in Southern California, but we adopt dogs to people in states across the country. In 2024, we adopted almost 200 animals to people in California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Texas and New York. Most of the animals we save come from high-kill shelters in California, but we also take in owner surrenders.
