Everyone keeps saying I look like a Great Pyrenees mix, all the main features but with short fur. I think that should make me an Awesome Pyrenees!
I'm a naturally shy guy when we first meet, but don't let that fool you—it doesn't take long for me to warm up and reveal my true self: a very cuddly and sweet boy. I love snuggles the most! Scratch my neck and behind my ears, and I will be your friend forever. This is when my foster dad says I look like the Coca-Cola polar bear. I greet my favorite people with a big tail wag and a cute little hop to show my excitement.
I love my foster dog brothers! They show me the ropes, and we have a blast playing. A confident canine companion would be great, but I'd be just as happy as your only pet, too. Cats are very suspicious ninjas! I keep an eye on them from a respectful distance. At night, their silent movements really bring out my curiosity, I only investigate—I don't chase! I adore my 15 year old human foster sister! I've met a few smaller humans, they are very tiny, move quickly and made me want to hide behind my foster mom. I would do best with older kids who can let me warm up.
I am housetrained. I'm currently working on ringing the potty bells like my foster brothers instead of just standing politely by the door. I am good about my crate when needed, but my favorite place to be is wherever my people are. I stand very still (and look pitiful!) when it's bath time, but I understand they're necessary sometimes. Fortunately, a regular brushing keeps my fur looking magnificent.
My foster family thinks I'm not the most coordinated dog ever and it makes them laugh. To be fair, their hardwood floors are very slippery, and I'm all legs—it's not my fault! A full flight of stairs is a little scary. I can get up, but going back down is another story, and I need a lot of help. Good news: I'm learning fast and can go up and down the 6 steps to the fenced yard like a pro! I like walks where I can sniff lots of things. Sometimes I get distracted by people and cars and just want to stop and watch. I don't like tugs on my collar so I typically walk very nicely with a loose leash.
I got neutered last week, I get to wear a snazzy outfit instead of a cone. You can see in my pictures I'm very patient when it's getting put on. I'm working on learning commands like sit and come. I'll need someone who can help me learn, I want to make people happy so that helps.
If you're looking for an amazing, relaxed companion please ask to talk to my foster family - I'd love to meet you!
