Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Birdie, 9 month old Rat Terrier/Sheltie mix. Birdie is shy at first but once she warms up she’s the most sweetest energetic puppy. After her zoomies you can find her curled up on the couch with her humans. Birdie is good with other dogs, cats and kids. She is still working on walking on the leach, and potty training (still a few accidents). Crate trained with a treat for up to 8 hours. A fenced in yard would be recommended but not required for how active she is.
If you are looking for a playful, active, sweet, loving cuddly puppy to add to your family Birdie might be the one. Birdie is Gracie’s daughter… it would be great if they could stay together.
All current pets MUST be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason.

Please Note: We are making changes to our Foster to Adopt process. Limited resources to follow up on pending adoptions and delays in processing payments is adding to our financial restrictions. Going forward we will collect payment when the dog is transferred to the potential new owner and will be held for an agreed upon trial time. Exceptions or extended trial times will be considered on a case by case basis and will depend upon the need or situation.

We work hard to ensure the adoption process is as successful as possible, both for you and the animal you're considering adopting. We will work with you find the very best pet for you and your family. You can begin the process by looking at our available animals. We will try and give you as much basic information as possible. The next step is to complete an adoption application using our online form. This will allow us to determine if you and the animal you've chosen might be a good fit. We will contact you with any questions we might have, answer any questions or concerns, and schedule a time for you to meet the animal you're interested in.
Our adoption fees depend on a number of factors but typically range from $45 to $75 for cats and $125 to $300 for dogs. While adoption fees don’t come close to covering all the costs of caring for the animals we bring into rescue, it does make it easier for us to continue saving others. And really, it's impossible to put a price on the love and companionship a pet can bring to our lives.

All our adoptable animals are in foster homes. For this reason, we require that all potential adopters complete an adoption application prior to meeting an animal. We want to find the very best fit, both for the animal and for the adopter!
