My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hayes!

Hayes is an absolute sweetheart with the perfect balance of snuggles and play. After a few days of settling into new surroundings, his personality really shines. If he hasn’t seen you in a bit, he’ll make his way over, flop onto his back at your feet, and politely request some belly rubs. Once he’s had his fill, he’ll sit up and ask to be held, melting into your arms just long enough before—pop!—he’s off to find his next adventure.

After a good play session or as the evening winds down, Hayes loves to curl up in your arms like a baby, stretched out and content, just happy to be close to his person. His favorite toys are springs, he’ll bat them around and proudly carry them from place to place. Long strings are another favorite, especially when he can trot around the house with one hanging out of his mouth.

Hayes is sweet, affectionate, and endlessly adorable. He enjoys being near his humans but is also independent and confident, happily exploring and finding his own fun. He’d do well in just about any home, whether it’s a quieter lifestyle filled with cuddle time or a more active home with lots of play and adventure.

He’s also fascinated by the bathroom, watching the shower water run and hopping in and out of the tub (when it’s off!) to play his own little game of hide-and-seek. Hayes can be a playful nibbler, but he’s a good listener and already learning his manners. If told “no,” he’ll often follow it up with a few licks, just to make sure you know he meant it in the friendliest way possible.

Hayes is truly a special little guy who’s ready to bring love, laughs, and lots of fun into his forever home.

Adopting from HEA

FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS:
Adoption is a huge deal to us. We make a lifetime guarantee to our companions. In return, we’re asking you to provide a lifetime commitment once you’ve invited a pet to join your family. We’re excited that you're considering adoption. We look forward to working with you to find the right match!

TIMELINE:
Our primary objective is to assure the correct match for the people and the pets that we’re sending to their forever homes. Our goal is to send dogs and cats home as quickly as we can, while still being thorough. Processing times will vary and are largely dependent on our ability to connect with your references, landlord, and veterinarian. To keep the process moving along, please make sure you’ve done your part:
1) Fill out your application completely - missing information slows down the process.
2) Let your references know to expect our call.
3) If you rent, let your landlord know to expect our call.
4) If you currently have pets, ask your veterinarian to be prepared to release your records.

LIFETIME GUARANTEE:
We make a pact with every animal that enters our care: They’re promised a loving home for the rest of their life. In turn, when you make the commitment to adopt, we ask you to make a lifetime commitment. We believe family is forever.
