Meet Melody
Melody is a beautiful one-year-old female shepherd who was found abandoned in a rural area of Texas, but she hasn’t let that define her. This sweet girl has an incredibly gentle, loving spirit and greets the world with trust and warmth.
Melody adores people and enjoys being close to her humans, soaking up affection whenever she can. She also gets along well with other dogs, making her a wonderful fit for a home with canine companions or a social, dog-friendly environment.
True to her shepherd roots, Melody is smart, attentive, and eager to bond. She’s still young and would thrive with continued guidance, enrichment, and love—whether that means basic training, neighborhood walks, or simply being part of a family.
Melody is ready to leave her past behind and start a new chapter with a family who will cherish her the way she deserves.

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc.).
Our adoption fee is $350 plus health certificate ($50) and transport ($200 for most locations). This adoption fee includes all current basic vaccinations, deworming, microchip (with lifetime registration), and a heartworm test. Spay may not be done for a puppy yet due to age. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.
