My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Serena! She’s a 1-year-old female Shiba Inu weighing 32 lbs who arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 12/15 as a stray. With her gorgeous red sesame coat and irresistible smile, she’s a real charmer. Serena loves exploring every corner of the play yard, sniffing around before getting the zoomies and running with joy. She doesn’t seem to know any commands yet and didn’t pick a favorite toy, but that could change outside the shelter. A total lovebug, she enjoys face rubs and leans in for plenty of pets. She walks well on a leash, takes treats gently, and confidently passes barking dogs without showing interest. If there’s another dog at home, the shelter recommends a dog test. She deserves to have a loving family she can call her own. A secured yard to play in, yet live indoors, cuddling close with her loved ones.
