My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stainz is a sweet and affectionate girl who loves people, belly rubs, and soaks up all the attention she can get. She is a certified lap jumper and cuddler. If you are sitting down, she will be right there to keep you company!

Stainz is housebroken and enjoys playtime in the yard where she can run around and get out her energy. Afterwards, she is happy to curl up for snuggles and relax. Stainz clearly does not like other dogs and will need to be adopted into a dog free home.

If you are looking for a loving lap dog who brings both fun and affection into every day, Stainz might just be your perfect match!

Stainz is 4 years old.

The adoption fee for adult dogs, seven months and older, is $250. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended.

More about this shelter

We promote the humane care of all abandoned and stray animals in our community. We are a no-kill shelter. All of our pets leave the shelter for their forever homes micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines, and altered.

Founded in 2002, Helping Strays is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization supported entirely by donations.

Our lucky animals receive appropriate medical care, are featured on the Helping Strays website "adoption list" and are taken to several adoption events every month in an attempt to find permanent, loving homes.
