My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Koko !
I’m a 3-year-old brown terrier with a sweet heart and a gentle personality. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but don’t worry, I open up pretty quickly once I know I’m safe. It doesn’t take long for my tail to start wagging and my true self to come out.

I love spending time with my people and enjoy both quiet moments and playful ones. I’m affectionate, loyal, and happiest when I’m close to those I trust. All I need is a little kindness and reassurance, and I’ll show you just how loving I can be.

I’d do great in a home that’s patient, gentle, and ready to give me lots of love. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who may start off shy but becomes your best friend fast, I think we’d be perfect together. Adopt me today!

More about this shelter

The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
