What we know: Transferred from Animal Rescue Friends of Floydada in Clifton, TX, litter of 4, approximately 10 weeks old, not yet fixed, too young for rabies vax.
From the foster: Hi! I’m Oreo 🖤🤍 — and yes, I’m as sweet as my name. I got it because of the adorable white stripe on my face and chest (people say it makes me extra irresistible). I’m a smart cookie, too! I already know how to sit most of the time, and I’m especially proud of my potty skills. I go pee and poop right away when we head outside, and I haven’t had a single accident indoors in days. I work hard… but I do accept treats as payment. 😉
When I’m not showing off my brains, I’m busy being a professional snuggler. Belly rubs are my absolute favorite, and I’m always happy to curl up with my people. I’ve been living in a house with five kids (ages 7–13) and they have lots of friends come see me, so I’m very comfortable being held, loved, and played with. Translation: I’m a total family dog.
I also have a foster sibling who’s a 2-year-old pup, and we get along great! That means I’d be happy as an only dog or joining a home with another furry friend.
What I’m dreaming of now is a forever family who has time to play, cuddle, and teach me all about life’s most important things—like squeaky toys, walks, and how to be the very best dog ever.

Colorado Puppy Rescue is a 501(c)3 no-kill rescue for young puppies. We accept puppies from kill-shelters in southern CO, NM,TX, OK and KS. Most of our puppies are mixed mutts under 12 weeks old, some are as old as 6 months. We do not have a shelter. All of our puppies stay in foster homes so the only time they are available for adoption is at our adoption events. We average 20 puppies a week and update our website with available puppies Friday afternoons.
