(DOB 08/21/2022) Brawny is heartworm positive, but please do not let this stop you from adopting him. He is a loving boy that deserve a loving home and the rescue will cover his treatmewnt. For this reason, he is available for adoption within a 1 hour radius of Wake Forest, NC so he can receive his treatment at our partner veterinarian. Don't worry, our rescue will guide you through the process.
Browny is a handsome, mid-size, soulful guy who’s just the right age — not a wild puppy, not a sleepy senior, but the perfect in-between. He’s a sensitive and shy boy who can be a bit timid when first meeting new people, especially in unfamiliar situations. But once he feels safe and comfortable, his true personality comes out… and all he wants is to be your BEST friend.
He’s generally a quiet, low-key companion who’s happy hanging out by your side, though every now and then he’ll surprise you with some joyful yard zoomies that will absolutely make your day. Browny can be a little jumpy with new sounds or loud noises, so a calm, patient home will help him continue building confidence. Young children may be too loud and busy for him. Older kids should be fine.
Browny does well with other dogs, but he’d be content being your one-and-only and soaking up all your love. He’s a bit shy about getting into the car, but once he’s in, he’s a total rock star rider. He keeps his area clean, walks nicely on leash, and with a little continued practice, he’ll be a pro in no time.
If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal companion who bonds deeply and quietly steals your heart, Browny is the one you’ve been waiting for.
As part of Brawny’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet boy, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Brawny, you can complete an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.
