This helps Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue with pet care costs.
Hazel is an affectionate puppy who enjoys being near her people and is often content to sit or lie close by. She enjoys being close to her people and is often happy to sit on or near your lap during downtime. When relaxing on the floor, she may climb up to settle on you or curl in close, showing her affectionate and playful nature. As she continues to adjust, her personality is beginning to shine through alongside typical puppy behaviors such as play, exploration, and rest.
Hazel enjoys playtime and likes chewing on toys and bones. Like many puppies, she is still learning appropriate chew habits, so supervision, puppy-proofing, and consistent redirection will help her continue to develop good manners.
She enjoys being around other dogs and eagerly tries to engage them in play, regardless of size. Ongoing supervision and guidance will help her continue learning appropriate play manners as she grows.
House training is still in progress. Hazel has been introduced to a crate and will willingly nap in it during the day with the door open. At night or when her people leave, she may need some encouragement to go into the crate and can have brief, minor protests. Once inside, she settles quickly. She has not yet been introduced to a leash or harness.
Hazel is also learning good mealtime manners and may benefit from being fed separately from other animals, especially while learning good mealtime habits. With continued guidance and positive reinforcement, she is expected to continue maturing and gaining confidence.
