My name is Chupy!

Chupy is a 1-year-old male Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican Hairless)/Shepherd mix and truly one of a kind. As stated in the name, this wonderfully unique boy is part hairless breed, which causes his thin coat—and in some spots, no hair at all. While he may need a little extra warmth in cold weather, his coat (or lack thereof) doesn’t bother him and requires very minimal care (just some coconut oil to keep his skin soft and hydrated).

Don’t let Chupy’s appearance fool you—this handsome guy has so much love and joy to give. Chupy LOVES to play! Toys, wrestling, chase, chewing on a good bone—you name it, he’s all in. He’s great at keeping himself entertained and brings endless fun wherever he goes.

Chupy can be a bit shy and hesitant when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality truly shines. He is incredibly affectionate and adores pets and scratches, happily resting his head in your hands while soaking up all the love. There isn’t a mean bone in his body—this boy’s heart is pure gold.

Chupy gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him a great fit for just about any family. He is fully potty-trained and crate-trained, too.
