Beryl is the goofiest boy looking for a home to call his very own.
He was adopted as a puppy, but unfortunately it just wasn’t the right fit for him. When he came into care, he was pretty nervous meeting new people, but he’s been working hard on his confidence and greeting skills and is doing so much better.
Beryl is fully kennel trained and never has accidents in the house. He’s still working on his leash manners, as he sometimes struggles with impulse control and some reactivity, but he’s already made huge improvements. He’s looking for a family who will continue working with him to help him keep getting better.
He can struggle when meeting new dogs, but has been able to make friends with calm, neutral ones. While he’s still working on his relationship with other dogs, he’d prefer to be the only dog for now. He isn’t sure about cats and would prefer a home without them (they seem a little too fun to chase!) Kids can be a bit erratic for him, but with older children who can respect his boundaries, he’d likely do well with slow introductions. His ideal home would have children aged 12 and up.
Beryl promises he’s the cuddliest boy, greeting his people every time they come home with a toy in his mouth and a wiggly butt. He’s great at letting you know when he wants butt scratches by backing right up into you. He’ll do his best to make his people proud and will happily shower them with love and kisses. With the people he loves, he’s a gentle giant who’s perfectly content spending his days lounging around the house and cuddling on the couch.
If you’re looking for a goofy, chill dog, Beryl is ready to meet you.
